Former RoughRider Acosta Makes MLB Debut

TL Frisco RoughRiders FRISCO, Texas - Former RoughRiders infielder Maximo Acosta made his MLB debut with the Miami Marlins on Tuesday, August 19th in their game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Acosta is the ninth player whose name will be featured on the Road to the Show Wall presented by Avondale Dealerships in 2025. Acosta debuted as the second baseman for the Marlins and went 0-for-3 in the 8-3 loss to the Cardinals. The 22-year-old was traded to the Marlins organization as part of the Jake Burger trade in December of 2024 and has played the whole season with Triple-A Jacksonville. In 106 games for the... ECHL Approves Expansion Membership for Augusta, Georgia

ECHL Augusta SHREWSBURY, N.J. - The ECHL announced on Wednesday that the League's Board of Governors has approved the expansion application of Augusta, Georgia for admittance into the League. The club will begin play in the 2027-28 Season. The team, which will be named later, will be owned by 2007 Heisman Trophy winner, and former National Football League quarterback, Tim Tebow, along with David Hodges, CEO of Hodges Management Group, LLC. New Mexico United Announces the Signing of Guadeloupe International Luther Archimède

USL New Mexico United ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - - New Mexico United announces the acquisition of forward Luther Archimède, a Guadeloupe international, via transfer from Monterey Bay FC.
