Six Appalachian League Alumni Selected to Arizona Fall League Rosters

October 2, 2026 - CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Six Appalachian League alumni will represent their Major League organizations at the 2026 Arizona Fall League (AFL) beginning Saturday, Oct. 3. The AFL is regarded as the premier league for baseball's top prospects to put their talents on display. San Diego Padres No. 26 prospect Alex McCoy (ELZ '22) will play for Peoria. Two Bucks Infielders Awarded Finest in the Field Trophies

October 1, 2026 - Waterloo, Iowa - The Northwoods League has announced Waterloo Bucks second baseman Caleb Parker and shortstop Zach Davis are 2026 Rawlings "Finest in the Field" Award winners. The annual award recognizes the top fielders at each position. Caleb Parker, who is now a redshirt senior at Minnesota State University-Mankato, finished the season with a .962 fielding percentage. Thirty-Three Former WCL Players Appeared on MLB Postseason Teams in 2026

September 29, 2026 - In 2026, West Coast League alumni (33 players) appeared in at least one game for nine of the 12 MLB postseason clubs. The Wenatchee AppleSox, 2026 WCL champions, had a player each summer from 2014-17 who's now in the MLB postseason. For the second straight year, former Corvallis Knight Matthew Boyd takes the mound in Game 1 of the postseason for the Chicago Cubs. Parker Announced as Rawlings Hitting Award Winner

September 23, 2026 - Waterloo, Iowa - On Wednesday, the Northwoods League announced the 2026 Rawlings Hitting Award winners which included Waterloo Bucks second baseman Caleb Parker. The annual award is given to the player at each position who had the best batting average during the regular season. Now a redshirt senior who recently transferred from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville to Minnesota State University-Mankato, Parker hit .326 for Waterloo on the year.
