Boyd Sports to Manage and Operate the Kingsport Franchise in the Appalachian League

ApL Kingsport Mets January 11, 2021 - Kingsport, Tenn. - Boyd Sports, LLC has announced that they will assume the management contract of the Kingsport franchise in the Appalachian League. Boyd Sports, which also owns the Tennessee Smokies, Johnson City Baseball, Greeneville Baseball, and Elizabethton Baseball will assume all business operations of Kingsport Baseball. 2021 Appalachian League Schedule Announced

ApL December 2, 2020 - CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Appalachian League announced today the schedule for its inaugural season as a newly established collegiate summer league within the Major League Baseball (MLB) and USA Baseball Prospect Development Pipeline. Opening Day is set for Thursday, June 3, for all 10 Clubs, featuring home series in Danville, Elizabethton, Johnson City, Kingsport and Princeton.
