June 18, 2025 - BURLINGTON, N.C. - The Sock Puppets and Axmen squared off in the finale of their two-game set with Burlington completing the sweep in an 8-6 contest, further cementing themselves as the best team in the Appalachian League. June 17, 2025 - When the Burlington Sock Puppets take on the Kingsport Axemen, the spotlight turns to one of Burlington's own. It's Alamance-Burlington School System Night at the ballpark, and there's no better representative of the community than pitcher Tate Jones, a proud graduate of Walter M. June 12, 2025 - BURLINGTON, N.C. - In a back-and-forth contest, Burlington walked off Elizabethton to secure consecutive wins for the first time this season. It was a pitchers' duel early. Gabe Magallan got the start for the Sock Puppets, striking out five over three innings. Ty Bradle entered in relief for his second appearance of the summer and tossed four strong frames to keep Burlington within striking distance. June 6, 2025 - BURLINGTON, N.C. - The Burlington Sock Puppets kicked off their 2025 season with a 3-2 comeback win over the Bluefield Ridge Runners on Opening Night at Burlington Athletic Stadium. Starter Andrew Steinhaus set the tone, tossing four strong innings and allowing just one hit in his season debut.
