February 16, 2026 - For almost all players in the Athletes Unlimited Softball League, the sport is their full-time job. But how it fills their time varies.
Some are athletes year-round, playing in the AUSL and with leagues overseas. Many organize camps or give lessons. A large portion of the athletes spend the rest of the year back in a college program as a coach.
These are the 20 athletes on a coaching staff this year, filling out their offseason with experiences from a different perspective.

The Athletes Unlimited Softball League was founded on principles of innovation, inclusion, and excellence and is committed to promoting awareness and celebrating Black excellence. This February, the AUSL is highlighting influential Black players in softball.

February 12, 2026 - The 2026 college softball season is underway. Opening weekend kicked off with invitationals and tournaments across the country, and seniors began their final journey in hopes of reaching the Women's College World Series.
For some of those athletes, their careers won't stop in the NCAA; they'll receive Golden Tickets, signifying their selection to the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL), and continue playing professionally. February 9, 2026 - Players Alyssa Denham, Bri Ellis, Tori Vidales, and Sam Landry all grew up playing softball in the Houston area and are now pros in the AUSL. Another connection at the game was Kevin Durant, who is an investor in Athletes Unlimited and the league.
The 18-year veteran is a two-time NBA Champion and Finals MVP and a 16-time NBA All-Star. He has won four NBA scoring titles, the NBA Most Valuable Player Award, and the Rookie of the Year Award. Durant is a long-time representative of Team USA, winning four Olympic Gold medals.... Full Story
