May 14, 2026 - Seven weeks into the United Football League season, the Louisville Kings pulled off the biggest surprise of the campaign so far, shocking the DC Defenders and ending their five-game winning streak. Tiger-Cats Sign Matthew Shiltz to Retire with the Club

May 14, 2026 - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that quarterback Matthew Shiltz has signed a one-day contract to retire as a member of the Black and Gold. Shiltz spent two seasons with the Tiger-Cats from 2022-23, appearing in 28 games and completing 193 of 280 pass attempts for 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Elks Add Top Global Draft Pick Gomez

May 14, 2026 - EDMONTON - The Edmonton Elks signed Global kicker Jesus Gomez, the club announced Thursday. In addition, American linebacker Michael Dowell has been added to the retired list. Gomez (6'2, 215) joins the Elks after being selected in the first round (third-overall) in the 2026 CFL Global Draft. The Puebla, Mexico product spent last season (2025-26) at Arizona State, but had attended Eastern Michigan University for four seasons (2021 to 2025). Roughriders Add Canadian DB Trae Tomlinson

May 14, 2026 - The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed National defensive back Trae Tomlinson. Tomlinson (5'8-183) played his senior season at Louisiana Lafayette, suiting up for 11 games as a Ragin' Cajun and tallying 26 defensive tackles, including one tackle for loss, one sack and one pass deflection.
