Argos Clinch Playoff Spot for Fourth Consecutive Season
October 11, 2024 - TORONTO - The Toronto Argonauts clinched a playoff spot for the fourth straight season Friday night with a 14-11 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. With two games remaining, including a pivotal October 19th matchup with divisional rival Ottawa at BMO Field, Toronto will either host the East Semi-Final or travel to Ottawa to play the REDBLACKS on November 2nd. October 10, 2024 - OTTAWA - The Ottawa REDBLACKS have signed long snapper Peter Adjey to a two-year contract extension, the team announced today. Adjey, 25, was acquired by the REDBLACKS via trade from the Edmonton Elks, ahead of the 2024 campaign. The Toronto native has suited up in all 15 games this season, making a pair of tackles, and serving as an integral part of the Ottawa special teams units that have seen both kicker Lewis Ward, and punter Richie Leone rank near the top of the league, statistically. Established in 2013, the annual award recognizes a Stampeders player for his outstanding community service. One of the franchise's all-time greats, Herm Harrison played for the Stampeders from 1964-72 and was a West Division all-star on six occasions and a CFL all-star three times.
