Banks Named CFL's Most Outstanding Player

November 21, 2019 - The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced Thursday that Hamilton Tiger-Cats wide receiver Brandon Banks has been named the 2019 Most Outstanding Player. Banks, 31, started 16 games at wide receiver for the Tiger-Cats in 2019 and set career highs while leading the CFL in all major receiving categories, including receptions (112), yards (1,550) and touchdowns (13), as well as targets (158). Steinauer Named CFL's Coach of the Year

November 21, 2019 - The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced Thursday that Hamilton Tiger-Cats head coach Orlondo Steinauer has won the 2019 Annis Stukis award as the league's Coach of the Year. Steinauer, 46, tied a CFL record for a first-year head coach with 15 wins (Dave Dickenson - CGY - 2016) and led the Tiger-Cats to a franchise-best 15-3 record, including six consecutive wins to close out the 2019 season. November 21, 2019 - Calgary Stampeders punter Rob Maver has been recognized as the 2019 recipient of the Tom Pate Memorial Award. The announcement was made on Thursday evening at Calgary's Scotiabank Saddledome as part of the Shaw CFL Awards ceremonies. Presented annually since 1976, the winner of the Tom Pate Memorial Award is selected by the Canadian Football League Players' Association in recognition of his sportsmanship and contributions to one's team, community and the CFLPA. November 21, 2019 - Montreal - Montreal Alouettes' long snapper Martin Bédard is the 2019 recipient of the Jake Gaudaur Veteran's Award.
