Elks Add RB Baker, OL Carter
April 24, 2026 - EDMONTON - The Elks have signed American running back Rushawn Baker and American offensive lineman Cam Carter, the club announced on Friday.
Baker (5'11, 220) joins a loaded Elks backfield after a strong collegiate career. The Victor, NY native most recently attended Elon University (2024) where he racked up 859 yards rushing and nine touchdowns, while averaging 4.7 yards-per-carry. Elks Set for 2026 CFL Canadian Draft, Global Draft
April 24, 2026 - EDMONTON - The next generation of Canadian Football League talent is ready to be discovered, with the 2026 CFL Canadian Draft slated for Tuesday, April 28 and the 2026 CFL Global Draft set for Wednesday, April 29.
The selection process begins on Wednesday night, with the first two rounds of the CFL Draft airing live on TSN and TSN+ at 5:00 pm MT. Rounds 3-8 will broadcast exclusively on TSN+ following the conclusion of the first two rounds.

Wouters, Landreville Named to CSSHL Top Freshman Teams
April 21, 2026 - Edmonton, Alta. - Two Edmonton Oil Kings prospects have been honoured by the Canadian Sport School Hockey League for their excellent seasons.
2010-born defenceman Holden Wouters, and 2010-born forward Cole Landreville have been named to the Top Freshman teams in the U18 Prep league. Wouters is named to the BC/USA Team, while Landreville is part of the Prairie team.

Hodnett Commits to University of Nebraska-Omaha for 26/27 Season
April 20, 2026 - Edmonton, Alta. - Edmonton Oil Kings Captain Gavin Hodnett has committed to play NCAA hockey next season with the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
Hodnett played parts of five seasons with the Oil Kings, and was recently Captain of the team for the last two seasons and had a major impact with the club during his time with the organization.
