Elks Extend Linebacker Brock Mogensen
January 2, 2026 - EDMONTON - The Edmonton Elks have extended American linebacker Brock Mogensen through the 2027 season, the club announced Friday.
Mogensen (6'2, 235) is coming off a successful rookie season with the Edmonton Elks. The 25-year-old saw action in 14 games with the club, starting six of the club's final seven games at middle linebacker.

Zemlak's Two Goals Leads Oil Kings over Rebels
January 1, 2026 - Edmonton, Alta. - The Edmonton Oil Kings are now winners of four straight games after a 5-1 win over the Red Deer Rebels on New Year's Day at Rogers Place.
The Oil Kings led early in this game and didn't look back as Austin Zemlak scored at the end of a powerplay just over two minutes into the period. Gavin Hodnett added one for Edmonton as well as he finished off a pass from Lukas Sawchyn to make it 2-0 for the home team after two periods.

Oil Kings Kick off 2026 with Matchup against Rebels
January 1, 2026 - Edmonton, Alta. - The Edmonton Oil Kings jump into the 2026 calendar year on a three-game winning streak as they host the Red Deer Rebels this afternoon for the New Year's Day Fireworks Frenzy.
During their current three-game winning streak, the Oil Kings have defeated Lethbridge twice, and Red Deer once by a combined score of 15-5. It's been led by the top line during that stretch of Miroslav Holinka, Lukas Sawchyn, and Gavin Hodnett who have combined for 21 points in those three games.

Oil Kings Dominate Hurricanes in 2025 Finale
December 31, 2025 - Lethbridge, Alta. - The Edmonton Oil Kings closed out the 2025 calendar year with a dominating 7-1 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Tuesday night.
Just two days after a game where the Oil Kings outshot the Hurricanes 46-16 in Edmonton, the Oil Kings had another lopsided shot clock in this game, outshooting Lethbridge 37-19 in the game.
