Third Period Offense Jolts Bugs Past Jackalopes
March 6, 2026 - The Shreveport Mudbugs (22-19-3-5) used 4 goals in the third period, including a Duke Erhard hat trick, to take 2 points from the Odessa Jackalopes on Friday night from George's Pond.
The scoring started midway through the opening frame as Odessa struck first on Adam Matar's 10th goal of the season, assisted by leading scorer Jeremy Jacobs and Nicholas Puricelli, on the powerplay. March 6, 2026 - The first period of the New Mexico Ice Wolves versus El Paso Rhinos game was a defensive struggle, with both teams unable to find the back of the net despite numerous chances. The Ice Wolves applied pressure and had several opportunities, including a power play, but were repeatedly stymied by the Rhinos' goaltender, Michael Modelski. Nailers Win Second Straight in Rapid City, 4-3
March 6, 2026 - RAPID CITY, SD- For the second time this week, the Wheeling Nailers and Rapid City Rush played a tight game with lots of shots on goal at The Monument. Wheeling won by the exact same 4-3 final score, but this tilt was decided in regulation. Logan Pietila's shorthanded goal at the 2:04 mark of the third period was the eventual game winner, while Matty De St. Phalle posted his second straight multi-point game with a goal and an assist. Walleye Take Round One of Fishing Derby Weekend in Shootout
March 6, 2026 - Though they didn't end the game as quickly as they wanted, the Wheat City Walleye still took two vital points in the standings, and took Round One of the Fishing Derby against the Lake Diefenbaker Slough Sharks.
Brady Turko scored, added an assist, and scored the shootout winner as the Walleye downed the Slough Sharks 4-3. Filip Ruzicka stopped 35 shots and all three shooters he faced in the win, while Nicholas Johnson and Jaxon Jacobson also scored.
