Giants Draw First Blood in WHL Western Conference Championship Series

April 20, 2019 - Vancouver, B.C. - In front of the largest home crowd of the season (4917) the Vancouver Giants earned their seventh consecutive victory in the 2019 WHL Playoffs. Friday night at the LEC the G-Men earned a 4-1 victory over the Spokane Chiefs. Owen Hardy paced the Giants attack with a goal and two assists while Dawson Holt, Lukas Svejkovsky and Bowen Byram added the other markers. April 20, 2019 - LANGLEY, B.C. - The Spokane Chiefs could not recover from a sluggish start, falling to the top-seeded Vancouver Giants, 4-1 in Game 1 of the WHL Western Conference Championship on Friday night in Langley, B.C. Scott Shuts Out Oil Kings In Game 1

April 20, 2019 - Prince Albert, SK - Ian Scott stopped 26 shots to backstop the Prince Albert Raiders to a 1-0 win over the Edmonton Oil Kings in Game 1 of the 2019 Eastern Conference Championship on Friday at the Art Hauser Centre. It was Scott's second shutout of the 2019 WHL Playoffs, giving the Raiders a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. In the first, the Raiders outshot the Oil Kings 10-7. Two Winterhawks Listed on NHL Central Scouting Final Rankings

April 19, 2019 - Two Portland Winterhawks skaters were named on the final NHL Central Scouting List in preparation for the June NHL Draft. Forward Reece Newkirk was listed No.81 on the rankings while defenseman John Ludvig clocked in at No.128 among North American skaters. First-year eligible player Reece Newkirk (Moose Jaw, SK) finished with a career high 23 goals, 36 assists and 59 points in 68 games this season. He also added two assists in five playoff appearances.
