Americans Open Season with 4-2 Victory in Everett

September 21, 2019 - The Americans kicked off the 2019 regular season today in Everett for the Silvertips' home opener, a rematch of last year's heated first round playoff series. With an impressive four point performance from Colorado Avalanche prospect Sasha Mutala, the Americans defeated the Silvertips 4-2. Vancouver Giants Start Season with a 5-3 Win in Prince George

September 21, 2019 - Vancouver, B.C. - Friday night at the CN Centre in Prince George, B.C. the Vancouver Giants kicked off the 2019-20 season with a 5-3 victory over the Prince George Cougars. Five different skaters supplied the goals for the Giants while Trent Miner turned aside 20 of the 23 shots fired his way in net. The Giants power play went two-for-three while the penalty kill went six-for-seven. Both Owen Hardy (two assists) and Seth Bafaro (one goal, one assist) had multi-point games for Vancouver. Blades Edge Raiders 3-2 in OT to Open 2019-20

September 21, 2019 - Prince Albert, SK - The Saskatoon Blades (1-0-0-0) have won their first game of the 2019-20 WHL Regular Season, edging the Raiders (0-0-1-0) 3-2 in overtime on Friday night. The hard-fought win in Prince Albert was the first at the Art Hauser Centre by the Blades since March 16th, 2018. Overage F Ryan Hughes had his hand in all three of Saskatoon's goals, including scoring the overtime game-winning-goal just 17 seconds into the extra-period.
