Broncos Sign Foward Lincoln Ayers Assad

June 12, 2026 - Swift Current, SK - The Swift Current Broncos are pleased to announce the signing of 2008-born forward Lincoln Ayers Assad to WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. Ayers Assad, a 6'0" forward from Bloomington, Minnesota, joins the Broncos after playing this past season at Academy of Holy Angels (Minnesota State High School League), where he served as captain. June 12, 2026 - Hudson Darby Moving on to Ferris State University Swift Current, SK - The Swift Current Broncos would like to congratulate and thank forward Hudson Darby as he continues his hockey career at Ferris State University next season. A Swift Current product, Darby returned home last season after being acquired from the Portland Winterhawks and made an immediate impact as team captain. June 8, 2026 - Swift Current, SK - The Swift Current Broncos have acquired 2007-born defenceman Kayd Ruedig from the Everett Silvertips in exchange for a 2026 first-round CHL Import Draft pick. Ruedig joins the Broncos after a strong 2025-26 season that saw him suit up for three WHL clubs. The 6-foot defenceman began the campaign with the Portland Winterhawks before being traded to the Kamloops Blazers and later the Everett Silvertips, where he finished the season.
