Two Oil Kings Set to Represent Countries at World Juniors
December 26, 2025 - Edmonton, Alta. - A pair of Edmonton Oil Kings will be vying for gold at the 2026 World Junior Hockey Championships over the next two weeks.
Forward Max Curran is set to represent Czechia, and Defenceman Ethan MacKenzie will play for Team Canada.
Curran is headed to the World Juniors for the first time, and is currently having a career year with the Oil Kings. Seven OHL Alumni Named to Canada's 2025 Spengler Cup Roster
December 24, 2025 - The Ontario Hockey League is well represented on Hockey Canada's 2025 Spengler Cup roster, the tournament is set for Dec. 26-31 in Davos, Switzerland.
Seven former OHL players were named to Canada's National Men's Team roster, while former OHL Coach of the Year Drew Bannister will serve as an assistant coach.

Pickford Signs Entry Level NHL Contract with Canadiens
December 24, 2025 - Medicine Hat, AB - The Montreal Canadiens have signed defenceman Bryce Pickford to a three-year entry-level contract, the team announced on Wednesday, December 24th.
Pickford was selected by the Canadiens in the 3rd round (81st overall) of the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. This season, Pickford has taken a massive step in his play on both ends of the ice as he currently leads the WHL in goals with 25 in 31 games so far this season.
