The 2010s: Names we recall all too well

January 17, 2019 - With this season marking its 50th anniversary, the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League will be celebrating the milestone in a number of ways. One of those initiatives will be the unveiling of an all-star team for each of the league's past five decades. Black Bears Sign Center Christian Brune

January 17, 2019 - Today, the Maryland Black Bears signed Center Christian Brune. The 6'1 185-pound lefty will make his debut this weekend against the Northeast Generals. Brune last played for the NAHL Bismarck Bobcats. During his 12-game stretch with the Bobcats, he scored 2 goals and had one assist. The newest Black Bear addition is a dual citizen of the United States and Germany. The New Jersey native has already committed to playing Division I hockey at Merrimack College. Colts Name Jason Willms Captain

January 17, 2019 - Barrie, ON - The Barrie Colts announced Monday that third-year veteran Jason Willms has been named the 20th captain in franchise history. The 19-year-old from Kitchener, Ont. has 26 points (9-17-26) over 41 games this season and has been a strong presence in the faceoff circle, winning 55 percent of his draws. Last season Willms put up 59 points (27-32-59) over 68 games along with a plus/minus rating of plus-20 before registering six points over Barrie's 12 playoff contests. Former Hawks Scorer Gets New Home

January 17, 2019 - Waterloo, Iowa - Justin Kloos was a substantial contributor during the highest-scoring season in Waterloo Black Hawks history; his quest for the first point of his NHL career has taken a turn toward the west coast. On Wednesday evening, the Anaheim Ducks acquired Kloos in a trade with the Minnesota Wild. The 25-year-old has appeared in one NHL game, debuting with the Wild on October 24, 2017.
