April 11, 2026 - Alex Mercier's late second period goal proved to be the winner as the Wildcats defeated the Val D'Or Foreurs 3-2 before 5,300 fans at the Avenir Centre and take a 2-0 series lead in the best-of-seven QMJHL Playoff Quarter-Finals.
The Cats won the opener 8-1 Friday night.
First Star Gabe Smith was solid at both ends of the ice - setting up goals from defenceman Evan Depatie and Max Vilen.

April 11, 2026 - The Wildcats returned to the ice after bit of a lull - earning a break after their 1st Rd sweep of the Sea Dogs. It took a Foreurs early goal and about 7 minutes for them to get back to business.
The Cats evened things up midway thru prd1 then took over and powered their way to an 8-1 victory. Tommy Bleyl's end-to-end highlight reel goal got the fans out of their seats & provided a 2-1 lead. April 10, 2026 - The QMJHL quarterfinals opened in Moncton Friday night and the defending champion Wildcats showed no effects of their extended layoff - bombing the Val D'Or Foreurs 8-1 before 4,600 fans at Avenir Centre.
The Wildcats had a 9-day break after sweeping the Saint John Sea Dogs.
