Cats Reach 1st Place in Q with Win over Sea Dogs

January 30, 2026 - The Wildcats again reached top spot in the QMJHL after reeling off their 5th straight victory, a 7-4 win over the Saint John Sea Dogs Thursday night at Avenir Centre before 4,000 fans. The Cats spotted Saint John an early 2-0 lead before storming back with four straight goals and put the game away with a 3-goal third period. Captain Caleb Desnoyers scored his 11th of the season and added two assists to garner First Star honors. Islanders Open Weekend Homestand against Drakkar

January 30, 2026 - The Charlottetown Islanders return home tonight to open a busy weekend at the Eastlink Centre Charlottetown, welcoming the Baie-Comeau Drakkar for a 7:00 p.m. puck drop. Tonight's matchup comes with plenty of storylines, highlighted by the return of a familiar face. Former Islander Kyle Powers skates in Charlottetown for the first time as a visitor after being traded to Baie-Comeau early in the season. Eagles Host Regiment in Battle for Third Place

January 30, 2026 - Third place in the QMJHL's Eastern Conference is on the line this weekend as the Cape Breton Eagles play host to the Newfoundland Regiment at Centre 200. Just two points separate the two teams in the standings. The Eagles winter home stand continues tonight as they host a Newfoundland team that is just two points behind the Eagles in the standings.
