May 13, 2026 - A goal by Thomas Desruisseaux at 16:58 of overtime gave Chicoutimi a 5-4 win over the Wildcats and a 2-1 Final series lead.
The Wildcats controlled much of the overtime and had two powerplays; only the spectacular goaltending of Lucas Beckman kept the Sags in the game. The Cats outshot Chicoutimi 11-4 in the extra frame.
Moncton battled back trailing after 4-2 in the third period on a pair of goals from Teddy Mutryn to force OT. Simon Binkley and Max Vilen had other Wildcats goals and Tommy Bleyl added three assists.

May 11, 2026 - (SYDNEY, NOVA SCOTIA) - The Cape Breton Eagles announced today that Assistant Coach Josh Dubinsky will be leaving the club.
Dubinsky spent the last season with the Eagles after being hired as Assistant Coach last summer while working specifically with the forwards and powerplay unit.
"We want to thank Josh for everything he brought to the team and the organization, and we wish him nothing but success moving forward," said Eagles GM Sylvain Couturier.

May 9, 2026 - The Chicoutimi Sagueneens edged the Wildcats 3-2 Saturday night to tie the best-of-seven QMJHL Final at one-one.
It was a close checking, hard-fought battle decided by Liam Lebrevre's winning goal at 16:52 of the third period.
Trailing 2-1 in the third, Evan Depatie tied the game for the Cats at 8:05.
Niko Tournas opened the scoring on the powerplay for Moncton and Teddy Mutryn played a strong 2-way game contributing two assists.
The Wildcats outshot the Sags 25-20 before 7,100 fans at the Avenir Centre.

Eagles Announce Coaching Staff Change
