January 10, 2026 - The Charlottetown Islanders kicked off their post-trade deadline stretch in style on Friday night, defeating the Halifax Mooseheads 5-3 in front of a lively crowd at the Eastlink Centre during Y2K Night.
In a game that carried plenty of Maritime rivalry intensity, the Islanders leaned on a strong team effort, timely scoring, and another standout performance from Nathan Leek to earn two crucial points at home.

January 9, 2026 - The Charlottetown Islanders have announced today that the team has signed 2006-born forward Ryan Staples from the Surrey Eagles of the BCHL, adding further depth to the club's forward group.
Staples, a 19-year-old forward from Middletown, Rhode Island, stands 6'0" and joins the Islanders after spending the first half of the 2025-26 season with the Surrey Eagles (BCHL), where he served as an assistant captain. In 19 games played this season, Staples recorded 3 goals and 9 assists for 12 points.

January 5, 2026 - The Charlottetown Islanders have announced the signing of forward Alexis Beaulieu and defenseman Spencer Thompson, General Manager & Head Coach Jim Hulton confirmed today.
Beaulieu, 19, has earned his spot on the Islanders' roster after appearing in the club's last five games as an affiliate player. The Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Quebec native made an immediate impact during that stretch, recording two goals and two assists for four points. Providing an offensive spark for the Islanders.
