Screaming Eagles Choose 15 Players in Two Drafts, Make Multiple Trades

June 4, 2018 - SHAWINIGAN- The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles drafted 13 new players to the organization and completed three significant trades to reshape the club's roster at Saturday's QMJHL draft in Shawinigan. June 1, 2018 - SYDNEY- The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles have announced the hiring of Charles Grant as the club's new goaltending & video coach, and the hiring of Scott Gouthro as goaltending consultant. Grant, a native of Berwick, Nova Scotia, has ten years of experience of coaching and instructing at different levels. Screaming Eagles Complete Four Transactions as Trade Period Opens

June 1, 2018 - SYDNEY - The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles have completed a number of trades at the beginning of the QMJHL's June trade period today. The Screaming Eagles have acquired forward Mitchell Balmas (1998-03-19) from the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in exchange for Sherbrooke's first draft choice in 2018 (#9), Blainville-Boisbriand's second draft choice in 2018 (#36) and defenseman Ryan MacLellan (2000-02-03). 2018-19 Screaming Eagles Schedule Released

May 25, 2018 - SYDNEY - The 2018-19 schedule for the QMJHL has been released. The QMJHL continues to use a 68 game schedule, and the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles will play 34 games at Centre 200 and 34 on the road in the coming season. Cape Breton opens the 2018-19 campaign in Charlottetown against the Islanders on Friday, September 21st at 7:30.
