Eagles Announce Coaching Staff Change
May 11, 2026 - (SYDNEY, NOVA SCOTIA) - The Cape Breton Eagles announced today that Assistant Coach Josh Dubinsky will be leaving the club.
Dubinsky spent the last season with the Eagles after being hired as Assistant Coach last summer while working specifically with the forwards and powerplay unit.
"We want to thank Josh for everything he brought to the team and the organization, and we wish him nothing but success moving forward," said Eagles GM Sylvain Couturier.

April 28, 2026 - (SYDNEY, NOVA SCOTIA) - The Cape Breton Eagles have announced the hiring of Thomas Durant as assistant/video coach ahead of the 2026-2027 regular season.

April 27, 2026 - (SYDNEY, NOVA SCOTIA) - It was announced today the Cape Breton Eagles have hired Scott Gouthro as goaltender coach ahead of the 2026-2027 regular season.
"Scott is an amazing and well proven goaltending coach, in years past with the Eagles and then his time in the AHL with Calgary as well as for Hockey Canada" says GM Couturier "He has a lot of experience under his belt and we are glad to have him onboard helping out the team."

April 20, 2026 - The Cape Breton Eagles today announced that President Joey Haddad will be stepping down from his role to pursue other interests, while continuing to remain connected to the organization in a supporting capacity.
Haddad has been an integral part of the Eagles for nearly three years, providing steady leadership and helping guide the franchise through a period of growth and development.
