June 9, 2025 - It was yet another busy draft weekend for the Cape Breton Eagles scouting staff and hockey operations team, as the club selected 14 skaters and one goaltender this past weekend in Quebec City, Quebec. Leading into the opening night of this year's draft, the Eagles were without a first round pick. Jason Clarke Named 11th Head Coach in Franchise History

June 5, 2025 - (QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC) - The Cape Breton Eagles announced today that Jason Clarke has been hired as head coach of the team. Clarke, 52, is the club's 11th head coach in franchise history and will take over from former head coach Louis Robitaille who had spent the last two seasons behind the bench. Eagles to Open 2025-2026 Season with Doubleheader in Saint John

June 4, 2025 - It was announced today the Cape Breton Eagles will kick off the 2025-2026 QMJHL regular season on September 19 and September 20 when they travel to Saint John to take on the Sea Dogs in a weekend doubleheader. The Eagles will then host the league champion Moncton Wildcats at the Nest for two games on September 26 and September 27 for their annual home opener weekend inside Centre 200. Eagles Complete Six Deals During First Trade Window of 2025-26′

June 3, 2025 - The Cape Breton Eagles had a busy day of trades on Tuesday as the QMJHL opened its first trade window of the 2025-2026 season ahead of the league entry draft this weekend in Quebec City. The biggest deal of the day saw the Eagles acquire 18-year-old forward Reece Peitzsche and a 9th round draft pick in 2026 from the Shawinigan Cataractes in exchange for pick #149 in this year's draft and a 3rd round pick in 2026.
