June 18, 2026 - The Cape Breton Eagles are pleased to announce the addition of R.C. Lyke and Tomas Zubrus to the club's scouting staff. Both bring valuable experience and insight to the organization as the Eagles continue to strengthen their scouting department.
Zubrus began his scouting career with the Youngstown Phantoms of the USHL during the 2024-25 season, where he spent one year with the organization.

Lucas Beckman, was acquired on Friday, June 5th from the Chicoutimi Saguenéens has been invited to attend the Summer Showcase for Canada's National Junior Team from July 27th to August 1st in Windsor, ON. The showcase will feature games with Sweden, Finland and USA.

June 5, 2026 - The Cape Breton Eagles have acquired three players from the 2026 Gilles-Courteau Champions Chicoutimi Saguenéens.
The players include goaltender Lucas Beckman, defenceman Alonso Gosselin, and forward Liam Lefebvre.
Beckman [2007] is a second-round selection (35th overall) in the 2023 QMJHL Draft by the Baie-Comeau Drakkar. He played 96 total games with the Drakkar before getting traded to Chicoutimi at the 2025-26 December Trade Period. In his QMJHL career he has 76 wins with a .918 save percentage. In the summer ...
