January 13, 2026 - The Moncton Wildcats have added 18 year-old forward Liam Bursaw to the roster. Bursaw was signed as a free agent and most recently played with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the BCHL. The 5'11 Warman, SK native put up 15 points (9G, 6A) in 29 games with the Silverbacks this season.
"We are excited to welcome Liam to the Moncton Wildcats. He is a player who will bring competitiveness and speed to our roster in the second half of the season," commented GM and Director of Hockey Operations Taylor MacDougall.

January 13, 2026 - NHL Central Scouting unveiled its mid-term rankings for the 2026 NHL Draft on Monday night, and it features 44 players from the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), including Wildcats Tommy Bleyl, Niko Tournas, Rian Chudzinski & Jacoby Weiner.
Four players could be selected in the first round according to the NHL's North American rankings. They are Blainville-Boisbriand Armada defenseman Xavier Villeneuve (15th), Victoriaville Tigres forward Egor Shilov (17th), Québec Remparts forward Maddox Dagenais (18th)... Full Story
January 10, 2026 - The Wildcats show no signs of slowing down after blasting the Newfoundland Regiment 9-2 Saturday night in front of over 5,800 fans at the Avenir Centre for their sixth straight victory.
Several Cats had productive performances - Caleb Desnoyers scored twice (7th, 8th) and an assist, Gabe Smith (18th) and Rian Chudzinski (12th) with goals and two assists apiece and Gavin Cornforth also set up three goals.

The Newfoundland squad are back again - Saturday at 4pm - for their 3rd visit since DEC 17 and Cats forward Gabe Smith is probably the most excited.
