March 16, 2026 - The latest Videotron Player of the Week in the QMJHL is Moncton Wildcats center Gabe Smith. He earns that honor for the second time this season (Week 10).
In three games, the 19-year-old from St. Andrews, New Brunswick scored four times and added two assists as the Cats went 3-0 to climb back into first place in the overall standings.

March 15, 2026 - The Wildcats completed a weekend sweep in Newfoundland Sunday night stopping the Regiment 4-3 before 6,500 fans at the Mary Brown's Centre in St. John's.
The Cats offense was all first period and Rudy Guimond shut the door rest of the way, earning First Star accolades with 40 saves. Gabe Smith scored twice to lead the attack in the opening period (32nd, 33rd) giving the Utah Mammoth Draft pick four goals in the weekend games. March 14, 2026 - The Wildcats regained first overall in the QMJHL after a solid 3-2 overtime triumph over the Newfoundland Regiment before a sold out crowd of 6,500 at the Mary Brown's Centre in St. John's Saturday night.
Gabe Smith's 2nd of the game came on the powerplay in extra time after the Regiment's Will Reynolds was assessed a five-minute kneeing major with 21 seconds left in the third period.
Gavin Cornforth scored his 12th of the season while Caleb Desnoyers and Tommy Bleyl had two assists each.

March 13, 2026 - The Wildcats struck for three 3rd period goals to down the Cape Breton Eagles 4-2 for their fifth consecutive victory at Avenir Centre Thursday night.
