Mooseheads Announced as Host of 2026 QMJHL Entry Draft

September 16, 2025 - In a press conference held on Tuesday morning, QMJHL Commissioner Mario Cecchini announced the Halifax Mooseheads as the host team of the 2026 Entry Draft presented by Fenplast on June 5 and 6. The first round will take place on Friday evening while rounds 2 to 12 will be held on Saturday. This will mark the first time the Mooseheads franchise has ever hosted the QMJHL Entry Draft. Halifax Mooseheads Home Opener this Saturday

September 15, 2025 - Your Halifax Mooseheads begin their 32nd season in the QMJHL this week with excitement building for Saturday's Home Opener vs Charlottetown at Scotiabank Centre at 7pm. Owen Phillips Named Mooseheads Captain

September 15, 2025 - Your Halifax Mooseheads announced the new leadership group for the team ahead the 2025-26 season on Saturday morning. 19-year-old defenceman Owen Phillips will serve as the team captain while forwards Liam Kilfoil and Quinn Kennedy were named alternate captains as was defenceman Mathieu Taillefer. Phillips, a native of Hammonds Plains, NS was drafted by the Mooseheads in the first round of the 2022 QMJHL Entry Draft with the seventh overall pick.
