September 25, 2026 - HALIFAX, NS - The Halifax Thunderbirds welcomed five new players to the team in the 2026 National Lacrosse League Draft on Thursday night. With their first selection of the night at 12th overall, the Thunderbirds bolstered their back end, taking defender Nick Crowley from Princeton and the Peterborough Lakers. Thunderbirds Announce 2026-27 Schedule

September 22, 2026 - HALIFAX, NS - The Halifax Thunderbirds have announced their schedule for the 2026-27 National Lacrosse League (NLL) season. The Thunderbirds will open their campaign on the road against the Rochester Knighthawks on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 8 p.m. AT. Halifax will play 18 regular-season games, including nine at home and nine on the road. The Thunderbirds will face every team in the NLL once, along with seven additional home-and-home matchups. Thunderbirds Sign Liam Patten to One-Year Deal

September 21, 2026 - HALIFAX, NS - The Halifax Thunderbirds announced today that the team has signed defender Liam Patten to a one-year contract. Patten, 29, was selected by the Thunderbirds in the third round (30th overall) of last week's NLL Dispersal Draft. The Guelph, Ontario native is an eight-year NLL veteran, having previously played in Buffalo, Philadelphia, and Panther City. September 21, 2026 - HALIFAX, NS - The Halifax Thunderbirds announced today that the team has signed goaltender Justin Geddie to a one-year contract extension and defender Ethan Lee to a three-year contract. Geddie, 25, spent last year on the practice roster for Halifax after being signed as a free agent last November in training camp. The Victoria, British Columbia product has five NLL campaigns under his belt, split between San Diego, Albany, Las Vegas, and the Thunderbirds.
