October 8, 2025 - FLINT - The Flint Firebirds grabbed control with three third period goals after a scoreless first two frames and went on to beat the Kitchener Rangers, 3-0 on Wednesday night at the Dort Financial Center. Chris Thibodeau, Alex Kostov and Kaden Pitre all scored to contribute to the win and Mason Vaccari recorded his first shutout as a Firebird. Barrie Colts Sign Forward Luc Gauvreau

October 8, 2025 - The Barrie Colts are proud to announce that the club has signed forward Luc Gauvreau to an Ontario Hockey League Scholarship and Development Agreement. Originally from Hamilton, Ontario, Gauvreau has been with the Colts throughout training camp and preseason, earning his spot with a strong showing both on and off the ice. Firebirds Name Nathan Aspinall Captain, Announce 2025-26 Leadership Group

October 8, 2025 - FLINT - The Flint Firebirds and Head Coach Paul Flache announced on Wednesday the team's leadership group for the 2025-26 season. Nathan Aspinall has been named the eighth captain in franchise history while Jimmy Lombardi, Alex Kostov and Urban Podrekar have each been named alternate captains. Adam Geleynse has been hired as the clubs Assistant Equipment Manager and Nick Welsh will be taking over the Video Coach role.
