January 7, 2026 - (Peterborough, ON) - Peterborough Petes General Manager and Vice President of Operations Michael Oke announced today that the team has acquired 2006-born forward Brett Hammond and 2006-born defenceman Garrett Frazer from the Erie Otters in exchange for defenceman Blake Gowan, North Bay's second round pick in 2028, Brantford's third round pick in 2028, and Ottawa's fifth round pick in 2027.
Hammond, a native of Ottawa, ON, was originally selected by the Otters with the first overall pick in the 2023 U18 Priority Selection.... Full Story
January 6, 2026 - (Peterborough, ON) - The Peterborough Petes officially announced the details for the 17th Annual Pink in the Rink Campaign today at a press conference at the Peterborough Memorial Centre. This year's game will take place on Saturday, February 7, at 7:05 p.m. when the Petes host the Sudbury Wolves.
Over the past 16 years, the Petes Pink in the Rink Campaign has raised over $1 million in support of cancer research, benefiting a number of different organizations. Now entering the 17th consecutive year, the Campaign continues... Full Story
January 5, 2026 - (Peterborough, ON) - The Ontario Hockey League (OHL) today announced that Easton Rye of the Peterborough Petes is the Mary Brown's Chicken OHL Goaltender of the Week for the second time this season, going 3-0 with a 1.33 goals-against average, .962 save percentage, one shutout and 102 saves.
One of the OHL's busiest netminders, Rye turned in his first career OHL shutout coming out of the break, making 25 saves in a 2-0 win over the Oshawa Generals on Dec. 28th. He was back in the crease on New Year's Day, stopping 36-of-3... Full Story
January 3, 2026 - Owen Sound, ON - On Saturday, January 3, the Peterborough Petes were in Owen Sound for their first meeting of the season with the Owen Sound Attack. Brennan Faulkner scored a late empty net goal to secure a 5-3 win for Peterborough.
Leon Kolarik led the way for the Petes with three assists on the night. James Petrovski had two assists in his first game against his former team, while Aiden Young and Brennan Faulkner both scored and added an assist.
