Firebirds Acquire Second Round Pick from Brantford in Exchange for Brayden Lappalainen

June 4, 2026 - FLINT - The Flint Firebirds announced on Thursday that they have acquired a second round OHL Priority Selection draft pick from the Brantford Bulldogs in exchange for forward Brayden Lappalainen. Lappalainen was drafted by the Firebirds in the third round of the 2025 OHL Priority Selection. He played one game for Flint during the 2025-26 season and spent the bulk of the year in the OJHL with the Leamington Flyers, the Firebirds' affiliate. Firebirds Acquire Third Round Pick from Brantford in Exchange for George Komadoski

June 3, 2026 - FLINT - The Flint Firebirds announced on Wednesday that they have acquired a third round OHL Priority Selection draft pick from the Brantford Bulldogs in exchange for defenseman George Komadoski. Komadoski was originally signed by the Firebirds as a free agent in June of 2025. He went on to play 50 games as a rookie for the Birds during the 2025-26 season and recorded three assists. June 3, 2026 - FLINT - The Flint Firebirds announced on Wednesday that they have acquired the Kingston Frontenacs' 2026 first round CHL Import Draft pick, along with four other draft picks, in exchange for their 2027 first round CHL Import Draft pick and four additional draft choices. Flint is receiving Kingston's 2026 first and second round CHL Import Draft selections and its 2027 third round CHL Import Draft choice. Nathan Aspinall Named OHL First All-Star Team Left Wing

June 2, 2026 - FLINT - The Ontario Hockey League announced on Tuesday that Firebirds forward Nathan Aspinall has been named the OHL First All-Star Team left wing for the 2025-26 season. Aspinall registered 33 goals and 61 assists over 65 games played during the 2025-26 season. His 61 assists set a new Firebirds franchise record, and his 94 points were the second-most in the OHL.
