Spirit Drop Final Preseason Contest to Greyhounds, 5-4

September 23, 2023 - Saginaw, Mich. - The Saginaw Spirit lost to division rival Sault Ste. Marie on Saturday night, 5-4 from the Dow Events Center. Goaltender Landon Miller started for the Greyhounds, stopping 36 of 40 shots, while Brett Fullerton stopped 14 of 19 for the Spirit. The scoring began early when Sault Ste. Marie's Marco Mignosa scored his first of the pre-season after taking a pass in the slot from Ethan Montroy, slipping it in between the legs of Brett Fullerton at 5:14. Spirit Fall to Greyhounds in High-Scoring Affair

September 22, 2023 - Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. - The Saginaw Spirit lost to the Soo Greyhounds, 10-6, on Friday, September 22, at GFL Memorial Gardens. Kaleb Papineau manned the Saginaw goal crease, while Charlie Schenkel started for the Soo. Like any preseason game, there was somewhat of a feeling out process in the first period.
