January 8, 2026 - MIDLAND, Mich. - The Great Lakes Loons, in conjunction with the Los Angeles Dodgers, have named Jair Fernandez as their manager for the 2026 season. Fernandez will manage Great Lakes for the third straight season.
Jair Fernandez is the 11th manager in the Loons' 18-year history and the second to return for a third year (Juan Bustabad 2008-2010). 2026 will be Fernandez's tenth season as a coach within the Los Angeles Dodgers organization.

Pitchers Michael McGreevy and Andre Pallante will be joined by infielder Thomas Saggese and catcher Yoel Pozo for the annual offseason event. This year's caravan will be held on Friday, January 16 at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in East Peoria. December 18, 2025 - PEORIA, IL - Roberto Espinoza will return for his second season as manager of the Peoria Chiefs in 2026, headlining a staff overhaul announced by the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday.
Espinoza, 36, is the lone returnee from last year's staff. The 2026 campaign will mark his 13th season as a coach in the Cardinals organization. As a player, Espinoza was signed by the Cardinals out of Venezuela as a catcher in 2006. He played in 202 games over five minor-league seasons.
