Ben Gross Named an All-Star

High-A Central Cedar Rapids Kernels October 7, 2021 - CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Minor League Baseballâ„¢ and the Cedar Rapids Kernels announce that pitcher Ben Gross was named to the High-A Central All-Star team. On the season Gross recorded a 3.62 ERA, and 106 strikeouts in 17 games and held a 5-2 record. Gross was promoted to the Wichita Wind Surge on August 30th. The Kernels released their 2022 game schedule on September 13th. The Kernels will play a 66-home schedule opening with Beloit on April 8, 2022. High-A Central Cedar Rapids Kernels September 25, 2021 - CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - In conjunction with the Minnesota Twins, the Cedar Rapids Kernels announce the following roster moves made today, September 25th. Pitcher Sean Mooney was placed on the 7 Day IL and pitcher, Matt Mullenbach was activated from the 7-day IL. The series is now even 1-1. The River Bandits started off the scoring with the long ball. Nick Loftin blasted a two-run home run in the top of the first inning, giving them a 2-0 lead. High-A Central Cedar Rapids Kernels September 21, 2021 - CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- The Cedar Rapids Kernels defeated the Quad Cities River Bandits in Game 1 of the HACL championship series on Tuesday evening, 2-1. The Kernels take a 1-0 lead in the best of five series. The River Bandits scored first in the top of the second inning on an RBI single from Eric Cole, scoring Nathan Eaton to make it 1-0.
