Former Buck Marcus Morgan Chosen in 2024 MLB Draft

July 17, 2024 - Waterloo, Iowa - Former Waterloo Bucks pitcher Marcus Morgan was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2024 Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft. Morgan was selected on Monday, the second day of the three day draft. Morgan was taken in the 9th round with the 282nd pick by the Philadelphia Phillies. A product of the University of Iowa, Morgan played for the Bucks in 2022 where the righty posted a 7.80 ERA and 0-1 record in five games. July 12, 2024 - Waterloo, Iowa - The Northwoods League has announced the rosters for the 2024 Northwoods All-Star Game which will be played on Tuesday, July 23 at 7:05 pm in Mankato, Minnesota. Two players from the Waterloo Bucks were selected: Larry Edwards and Chaney Trout. Outfielder Larry Edwards, a redshirt junior who will attend McNeese State University in the fall and originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, is currently leading or tied for the team lead in hits (53), home runs (5), RBI (37), and stolen bases (23). Bucks to Hold Baseball Camp on July 20 Presented by Peoples Community Health Clinic

July 11, 2024 - Waterloo, Iowa - The Waterloo Bucks have teamed up with Peoples Community Health Clinic to host a baseball camp on Saturday, July 20 at 12:00 pm. The camp is open to children ages 17 and under and the cost to attend is $25 per participant. Each camper will receive a reserved seat ticket to that night's Bucks game versus the Minnesota Mud Puppies. Bucks players will run the camp.
