The Black Hawks roll to three weekend games against Eastern Conference opponents starting Friday. The opener is against the Chicago Steel at 7:05 p.m. Chicago doubled up the Hawks in the only meeting between the teams on February 13th at Young Arena. Like Waterloo, the Steel are currently the seventh place team in their conference; Chicago is five points behind the Madison Capitols for the last playoff bid in that half of the league. Luke Vera Named Bucks Play-By-Play Announcer
March 3, 2026 - Waterloo, Iowa - The Waterloo Bucks have announced Luke Vera as the team's play-by-play broadcaster for the 2026 season. Vera, who resides in Des Moines, Iowa, will be on the air for all of the team's home broadcasts which will air FloSports' FloCollege platform.

March 1, 2026 - Two power play goals, a shorthanded score, and a perfect penalty killing performance all contributed to a 5-2 Waterloo Black Hawks road win Sunday against the Des Moines Buccaneers at the Mid-American Energy Company Recplex.
Ty Mason and Drew Waterfield each scored twice during the victory. Dane Callaway made 35 saves on a day where Des Moines had a shot advantage in all three periods.

Strong Turnout, Unfortunate Outcome
February 28, 2026 - The Waterloo Black Hawks hosted their third largest crowd of the season at Young Arena Saturday, but the Dubuque Fighting Saints overcame the atmosphere in a 5-2 contest.
Only crowds of 3,158 on Thanksgiving and 3,144 on January 31st were larger than the 2,913 on hand for Saturday's matchup. The strong turnout came despite the Hawks coming up short for the 16th consecutive game, matching the organization's longest winless streak.
