Larry Larson Named New Broadcast Voice of the Chiefs
March 16, 2026 - PEORIA, IL - The Peoria Chiefs have announced Larry Larson as the team's new broadcast voice. Larson will also serve as the media relations manager, succeeding Cody Schindler after his five-year run in the broadcast booth with the Chiefs.
A familiar voice in Central Illinois, Larson is a 2022 graduate of Bradley University's Charley Steiner School of Sports Communication and is the co-founder of Clutch Sports Media.

Rivermen Idle this Weekend in Preparation for Final Regular Season Sprint
March 11, 2026 - PEORIA, IL - The Peoria Rivermen (34-16-1) will be idle this weekend as they are using the time to rest and recover before the final seven-game sprint before the start of the playoffs. The Rivermen are currently in first place in the SPHL standings and clinched a playoff spot last weekend.

Jack Bostedt Earns Sunday Shutout over Pensacola
March 8, 2026 - PEORIA, IL - Peoria entered Sunday afternoon desperate to stop a three-game skid and enter their week off with momentum. Goaltender Jack Bostedt led the way, making 17 saves on 17 shots and helping the Peoria Rivermen (34-16-1) to a 3-0 victory over the Pensacola Ice Flyers (25-18-7) at Carver Arena. The shutout marked Bostedt's fourth of the season, which is tied for the league lead. Kylar Fenton, Eimantas Noreika, and Connor Szmul all scored for the Rivermen.

March 6, 2026 - PEORIA, IL - It was a raucous night at Carver Arena, Rivermen Hall-of-Fame Tony Twist was back in the building for the first time in 26 years, the team had rebranded to the Peoria Twisters in his honor, and the atmosphere was electric on Friday night.
