Stoia Signs with Roanoke for 2025-2026 Season

September 20, 2025 - The Rail Yard Dawgs are pleased to announce the signing of defenseman Matt Stoia for the upcoming 2025-2026 season. The Michigan native spent the 2024-2025 season with the Mississippi Sea Wolves of the FPHL where he registered four goals, 11 points and 150 penalty minutes in 32 games. Previously he had played for the Evansville Thunderbolts, Quad City Storm and the Macon Mayhem all of the SPHL where he tallied 4 goals and 13 assists over 97 games between the three teams. Zhuk Signs with Roanoke for 2025-2026 Season

September 19, 2025 - The Rail Yard Dawgs are pleased to announce the signing of left‑winger Artyom Zhuk for the 2025-2026 season. The Belarus native joins Roanoke after completing his rookie season in the SPHL with the Quad City Storm. Zhuk appeared in 24 games during the 2024-2025 season, finishing with five goals and three assists. Kelley Returns to Macon Forward Group

September 19, 2025 - (MACON, Ga.) - The Macon Mayhem, proud members of the SPHL, announced Friday that they have signed forward Justin Kelley for the 2025-26 season. Kelley, 27, from Maple Grove, Minn., returns to the Mayhem after his first full professional season last year, in which he missed only three games for the Mayhem while putting up 23 points (8 g, 15 a). Defenseman Josh Martin Headlines Four Rivermen Signees

September 18, 2025 - PEORIA, IL - The Peoria Rivermen announced on Thursday that they have forward Connor Szmul and defensemen Josh Martin, Dash Quartarolo, and Cole Grosse for the 2025-26 season. Szmul, a forward from Castle Rock, Colorado, will be entering his rookie year of professional hockey. He is coming off four years at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where Szmul had 60 points (29 goals, 31 assists) in 103 NCAA-Division III games.
