Rail Yard Dawgs Bury Marksmen, 4-3

January 19, 2019 - FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Mac Jansen scored to give Roanoke the lead for good in the third, Brad Barone made 28 saves and the Rail Yard Dawgs dropped the Fayetteville Marksmen, 4-3, Saturday night at the Crown Coliseum. With the game tied at three and just over six minutes to play in the third, Jansen sprinted down the left wing and gained the zone unimpeded. Brad Barone Returned from ECHL Newfoundland

January 19, 2019 - ROANOKE, Va. - The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs announced on Saturday that reigning SPHL Goaltender of the Year Brad Barone has been returned from the ECHL's Newfoundland Growlers. Additionally, defenseman Vojtech Zemlicka has been placed on injured reserve. Barone appeared in three games with the Growlers and went 2-1-0 with a 2.35 GAA and .908 save percentage. He also played seven additional ECHL games with the Norfolk Admirals earlier in the season. Barone is 1-1-0 with a 3.47 GAA and .873 save... Full Story

Dawgs Fall Late to Fayetteville, 3-2

January 18, 2019 - ROANOKE, Va. - Jordan Carvalho had a goal and an assist and Jacob Caffrey made 29 saves but the Fayetteville Marksmen netted the eventual game-winning goal with just 2:11 remaining as they beat the Rail Yard Dawgs, 3-2, in front of a crowd of 5,509 on Friday night at Berglund Center. With the game tied at two in the waning moments of the third, the Marksmen got a loose puck and walked in with an odd-man rush.
