Dawgs, Rosek Shut out Marksmen in 3-0 Home Victory
January 16, 2026 - ROANOKE, VA. - The Rail Yard Dawgs (17-12-3) locked down their opponents in a home shutout victory on Friday night, notching a seventh straight win head-to-head over the rival Fayetteville Marksmen (11-15-4) with a 3-0 win at Berglund Center. Noah Finstrom scored twice, Gustav Müller added a power play goal in his return from the ECHL, Austin Thompson had two assists, and Gabe Rosek turned away all 24 shots faced in net en route to his first career SPHL shutout for Roanoke.

Dawgs Activate Beaudoin, Make Four Transactions
January 16, 2026 - ROANOKE, VA. - The Rail Yard Dawgs announced on Friday that defenseman Olivier Beaudoin has been activated from the injured reserve and will re-enter the lineup tonight, and the team has released forward Marcus Fechko to waivers to remain roster-compliant. Additionally, defenseman Cory Doney has been moved from the 14-day IR to the 30-day IR, and Justin Gortman has been added as an emergency backup goaltender.

Müller Returns from ECHL, Lindberg Placed on Waivers
January 14, 2026 - ROANOKE, VA. - The Rail Yard Dawgs announced on Wednesday that forward Gustav Müller has returned from his ECHL call-up with the Fort Wayne Komets, and the team has released defenseman Gehrig Lindberg to waivers to remain roster-compliant.

Blue & White Exhibition Game February 17
January 14, 2026 - The Rail Yard Dawgs will be hosting their third annual Blue vs. White Exhibition Game on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 with puck drop scheduled for 10:35 A.M. at Berglund Center. Gates for the event will open at 9:00 A.M.
The event will feature a "Blue vs. White" intersquad scrimmage with two periods of hockey followed by a skills competition. The majority of the arena will be available to school groups only.
