May 30, 2026 - HUNTERSVILLE, NC - The SPHL on Saturday announced that the Pee Dee IceCats, based in Florence, SC, has been conditionally approved for membership for the upcoming 2026-27 season, pending completion of the league's application process.

May 27, 2026 - FLORENCE, SC - Pee Dee IceCats head coach Gary Graham has announced his retirement from the team.
In a message to fans, Graham said he will be pursuing other opportunities.
"I just wanted to say thanks for all the support from you (fans) this season," Graham said in a statement posted to social media. "It was a heck of a roller coaster ride... the best is yet to come for this organization. Thanks to the best owners, arena staff, and fans a guy could ask for!"

May 9, 2026 - BINGHAMTON, NY - The Binghamton Black Bears secured the team's third consecutive Commissioner's Cup with a 4-2 win over the Pee Dee IceCats on Saturday night, closing out the series 3-1.
Houston Wilson put Pee Dee ahead with his team-leading seventh goal of the playoffs, a shorthanded marker at 18:47 of the first period from Drew Welsch to make it 1-0 IceCats after one.
But as they had the night before, the Black Bears offense exploded in the second period, this time for four goals to take a 4-1 lead by the 10:51 mark ... Full Story
May 8, 2026 - BINGHAMTON, NY - Timur Rasulov scored the lone Pee Dee IceCats goal at the end of the first period as the Binghamton Black Bears rode seven unanswered goals to an 8-1 win in Game Three of the Commissioner's Cup Final on Friday night.
Rasulov's goal tied the game at 1-1 at 17:18 of the opening frame with an assist from Domenic Della Civita for his first of the playoffs.
That goal turned out to be the offensive high point of the game for the IceCats, who allowed eight goals on 44 shots against in the loss.
