McLeod Garners USL1 Team of the Week Honors

July 21, 2026 - TAMPA, Fla. - It was a busy week for Scott McLeod. Not only did the One Knoxville SC defender receive his first start in USL League One play this season, he ended up playing the full 90 minutes in both of his club's matches last week and, to top it all off, scored his first goal of 2026. The hectic schedule paid off for McLeod who, on Tuesday, was named to the USL1 Week 19/20 Team of the Week. Ice Bears Ink Experienced Forward in Malik Johnson

July 20, 2026 - The Knoxville Ice Bears have signed forward Malik Johnson for the 2026-27 season. Johnson enters his fourth season in the SPHL, having spent parts of three seasons with Pensacola. The Quebec native has also spent time in France and has enjoyed multiple stints in the ECHL. "I'm excited and grateful for the opportunity to join the Knoxville Ice Bears," said Johnson. July 18, 2026 - KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - A match that began well enough for One Knoxville SC ended up not going the way that the squad had hoped. A 3-2 loss to AV Alta FC at Covenant Health Park sees Knoxville's five-match winning streak come to an end with the club suffering its first defeat in over two months. Jimmy Soper Accepts Head Coaching Job at Baton Rouge

July 16, 2026 - Knoxville Ice Bears veteran forward and captain Jimmy Soper has accepted the head coaching job in Baton Rogue in the FPHL. The Waterloo, Ont. native joined the Ice Bears ahead of the 2024-25 season and was one of the first signings of the John Gurskis head coaching era.
