December 21, 2025 - (MACON, Ga.) - Special teams proved to be the Achilles heel for Macon as they dropped an entertaining 5-4 loss against the Pensacola Ice Flyers on Salute to Service night.
Both teams came out looking to feel each other out with Pensacola having an extra step for the first half of the period. Pensacola had more chances but could not seem to get pucks on net, sailing them high and wide. The intensity had risen another level from Friday. Both teams came out ready to play with some quick chances and early physicality. Macon drew an early tripping penalty to send them to the power play that generated some great chances but could not prevail. December 20, 2025 - (MACON, Ga.) - The Macon Mayhem, proud members of the SPHL, announced Saturday that forward Alex Cohen has been returned to the team by the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears.
Additionally, defenseman Caleb Huffman has been signed to a standard player contract following the expiration of his professional contract, and forward Drew Welsch has been placed on waivers.
Cohen was called up by Orlando on Tuesday, and suited up for one game with the team on Wednesday night in Jacksonville. He is anticipated to draw back into the line... Full Story
December 19, 2025 - (MACON, Ga.) - The Mayhem rallied after a poor first period to beat the Quad City Storm 3-2 in overtime to kick off Winter Wonderland Weekend.
The Mayhem came out flat. Both teams were feeling each other out for the first five minutes while the Storm started to gain an edge. After some offensive zone time for the Storm, Jake Goldowski tried to clear the puck but did not get all of it. The puck fluttered into the net for the Storm's early lead.
