Matsushima Returns to Bison for 2025-26 Season

ECHL Bloomington Bison July 21, 2025 - Bloomington, Ill. - Bloomington Bison Head Coach, Phillip Barski, announced today that the team has signed forward Eddie Matsushima to an ECHL standard player contract. Matsushima, 31, was named the first captain in franchise history on October 17, 2024. He led all Bison players last season with 27 goals, 57 points, and 190 shots in 67 games played. ECHL Bloomington Bison July 16, 2025 - Bloomington, Ill. - Bloomington Bison Head Coach, Phillip Barski, announced today the team has signed forward Josh Boyer to an ECHL standard player contract. Boyer, 25, was acquired from the Atlanta Gladiators on December 3. He tallied 18 points (11g, 7a) and 38 penalty minutes in 48 games with the Bison. ECHL Bloomington Bison July 10, 2025 - Bloomington, Ill. - Bloomington Bison Head Coach, Phillip Barski, announced today that the team has signed forward Kohei Sato to an ECHL standard player contract. Sato, 28, appeared in 22 games with the Bison last season collecting 10 points (2g, 8a) with 20 penalty minutes. He was acquired on January 22 from the Orlando Solar Bears where he skated in 10 games posting two points (one goal, one assist) and nine penalty minutes.
