Porter Martone Selected to Represent Canada at 2025 IIHF Men's World Hockey Championship

May 1, 2025 - BRAMPTON, ON - Hockey Canada announced today that forward Porter Martone has been named to Team Canada's pre-tournament camp for the upcoming 2025 IIHF Men's World Hockey Championship, set to take place in Czechia from May 10 to May 26. Martone becomes one of the youngest players to earn a spot at camp for Canada's national team. Steelheads Sign 14th Overall Pick Defenceman Green

April 25, 2025 - BRAMPTON, ON - The Brampton Steelheads announced the signing of their first-round pick in this year's 2025 OHL Priority Selection, Peter Green. Selected 14th overall, the 5'11.25", 176-pound defenceman is a product of the Don Mills Flyers. The Toronto, Ontario native recorded 24 points (13 goals, 11 assists) in 25 regular season games in the GTHL and captained the Flyers to a GTHL championship. Steelheads wrap up draft adding eight more players on day 2

April 12, 2025 - BRAMPTON, ON - The second day of the OHL Priority Selection presented by Real Canadian Superstore got underway on Saturday with rounds four through fifteen. The Steelheads called on 8 new players added to the 2025 Draft Class. With the 80th overall pick in the 4th round, the Steelheads started their day picking up Lachlan Larmand. The 5'11", 180 lb right winger put up 54 points (21G, 33A) in 31 games with the U16 Barrie Colts. The Tiny, Ontario native also registered 11 points (3G, 8A) in 8 games through the OMHA playoffs... Brampton Steelheads Take a Defenceman, Forward and Goaltender in First Two Rounds

April 11, 2025 - BRAMPTON, ON - On the first day of the OHL Priority Selection Presented by Real Canadian Superstore, the Brampton Steelheads added three new players to their prospect list. With the 14th overall pick, the Steelheads took the first defender in the OHL Priority Selection, Peter Green.
