Austin FC to Begin Play in MLS in 2021

January 15, 2019 - AUSTIN, TX - Major League Soccer will become the first major sports league to have a team in the culturally-dynamic city of Austin, Texas as Austin FC will begin play in 2021, Commissioner Don Garber announced today. January 15, 2019 - The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) announced today that the Club and defender Walker Zimmerman have agreed to a new four-year contract using Targeted Allocation Money (TAM). Earthquakes Head Coach Matias Almeyda Named CONCACAF Coach of the Year

January 15, 2019 - SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose Earthquakes head coach Matias Almeyda has been named the 2018 Men's Football Coach of the Year by Concacaf, which is the continental governing body for association football in North America, Central America and the Caribbean. Almeyda led Mexico's Chivas de Guadalajara to the Concacaf Champions League title in April of 2018, their first such championship since the tournament's inaugural competition in 1962.
