Atlanta United Academy to Kick-Off 2024-25 Season Saturday

September 6, 2024 - ATLANTA - Ahead of MLS NEXT's opening weekend on Saturday, Atlanta United's Academy today announced its coaching staff and competitions. Led by Director of Methodology Javier Pérez, who enters his first full season after joining the club in April, the academy enters its ninth season with all five Academy squads (U-13, U-14, U-15, U-16 and U-18), competing in MLS NEXT. Atlanta United Parts Ways with Vice President, Technical Director Carlos Bocanegra

September 4, 2024 - ATLANTA - Atlanta United today announced it has parted ways with Vice President and Technical Director Carlos Bocanegra effective immediately. President and CEO Garth Lagerwey will assume Bocanegra's duties on an interim basis for the remainder of the 2024 season. Three Atlanta United Players Receive National Team Call-Ups for September FIFA Window

September 3, 2024 - ATLANTA - Luis Abram, Saba Lobjanidze and Bartosz Slisz have received call-ups from their respective national teams for the Sept. 2-10 FIFA window. Abram was called up to join Peru a pair of FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers in CONMEBOL. Peru will host Colombia on Sept. 6 before traveling to face Ecuador on Sept. 10. The defender has earned 42 caps and scored one goal with Peru since his debut 2016. August 31, 2024 - CHARLOTTE - Atlanta United defeated Charlotte FC 1-0 on Saturday night at Bank of America Stadium. Midfielder Jay Fortune scored his first MLS goal while captain Brad Guzan kept his fifth clean sheet of the year with six saves. During a back and forth opening 15 minutes, both teams had a couple of scoring opportunities. Guzan was called into action on headers from Karol Swiderski and Kerwin Vargas in the middle of the box.
