Looking Back at 2026: The Hard Way, Again: Austin Repeats as LOVB Champions

May 5, 2026 - The road to a second consecutive LOVB championship was not smooth. It was not clean. It was, as head coach Erik Sullivan put it, a season of clawing and scratching - and that was before the playoffs even started. LOVB Austin finished the regular season tied for third at 10-10, having needed to win its final three matches just to reach the postseason. April 19, 2026 - LOVB Austin Volleyball claimed its second consecutive League One Volleyball title Saturday, defeating LOVB Salt Lake in a thrilling five-set match (25-20, 21-25, 22-25, 25-22, 15-11) before clinching the title with a dominant golden set (15-8) in front of a sold-out crowd at LBS Financial Credit Union Pyramid.
