September 22, 2023 - CARY, N.C. - The North Carolina Courage have placed 17-year-old midfielder Riley Jackson on the 45-day injured reserve with a right foot injury, retroactive to August 1, 2023, as announced by the club on Friday. In a corresponding move, defender Sarah Clark has rejoined the roster on an injury replacement player contract.
Jackson, who signed with the Courage on July 28 of this year, was co-captain for the U.S.A. team at the U-17 World Cup in 2022 and has continuously participated in U-18/19 camps throughout 2023. The Rosw... Full Story
September 22, 2023 - NEW YORK - The National Women's Soccer League today announced the opening of the league's unrestricted and restricted free agency periods. In accordance with the league's collective bargaining agreement with the NWSL Players Association, eligible free agents may begin negotiations for their 2024 Standard Player Agreements.
Beginning today, eligible players may begin negotiating a new contract with NWSL clubs, including incoming expansion sides Bay FC and Utah Royals FC, and may sign contracts for the 2024 season on or aft... Full Story
September 22, 2023 - PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC today announced that the club has exercised midfielder Olivia Moultrie's contract option for the 2024 season.
Moultrie, 18, is in her third season with the club, having appeared in 18 matches (nine starts) during the 2023 campaign. The Thorns FC midfielder has two goals and three assists in NWSL regular season action for the club this season. Moultrie has played in 41 regular season games (20 starts), recording five goals and eight assists during her Thorns FC career.
