October 8, 2018 - PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC midfielder Lindsey Horan and forward Christine Sinclair were named to the 15-player shortlist for the first-ever Women's Ballon d'Or award, it was announced today. Horan, 24, was named NWSL MVP and earned Best XI honors, while helping guide Thorns FC to a second consecutive trip to the NWSL Championship match in 2018. September 27, 2018 - PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC goalkeeper Adrianna Franch was named National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) Goalkeeper of the Year for the 2018 season, it was announced today. An NWSL Best XI selection in 2018, Franch, 27, earned NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year honors for a second consecutive season, after helping guide Portland to the NWSL Championship game for a second straight season.
