Portland Cascade Add Defense, Big Bats in 2026 College Draft

May 4, 2026 - The Portland Cascade have been in a unique spot this offseason, building the roster from scratch as one of the Athletes Unlimited Softball League expansion franchises for year two. General Manager Jami Lopbries left plenty of room on the roster to select young talent at the 2026 AUSL College Draft. The Cascade had the fourth, ninth, 15th, and 17th overall picks. Portland Cascade Announce 2026 Schedule, Single Game Tickets

March 23, 2026 - Hillsboro, Oregon - The Portland Cascade today announced their 2026 schedule, along with details for single-game ticket sales. Single game tickets will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, March 24, at 10 a.m. PT. The presale begins today at 10 a.m. PT. The Cascade will open their home schedule at Hillsboro Ballpark on June 18 at 6 p.m. PT against the Oklahoma City Spark. Ali Newland Uses "anything But a Tee" to Get Creative in Her Training

March 2, 2026 - "I hate it. I am so bored," Ali Newland laughed. She's referencing a tee, the piece of baseball and softball equipment most people take their first swing off of. It's a foundational part of learning the mechanics of hitting and the earliest form of development to play. But as a professional, Newland is over it. And putting this piece of equipment away in the storage closet inspired her to start posting alternatives to her social media. Korbe Otis Commits to University of Florida Medical School

February 20, 2026 - Korbe Otis' dual success on the softball field and in the classroom has been the story of the outfielder's career. As a student-athlete at the University of Florida, Otis pursued a challenging bachelor's degree in biology while becoming an NFCA First Team All-American.
