Kansas City Current Announces Time Changes for Two Matches
March 17, 2026 - KANSAS CITY - The Kansas City Current has announced updated kickoff times for two of its National Women's Soccer League regular season road matches: at Chicago Stars FC on March 22 and at San Diego Wave FC on Sept. 18.
The Current's match against Chicago on Sunday, March 22, will now begin at 1:15 p.m. CT at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium in Evanston, Ill. It was originally scheduled for 1 p.m. CT. March 16, 2026 - Sporting Kansas City II (0-2-1, 2 points) picked up their first two points of 2026 in a cold, blustery shootout win over Colorado Rapids 2 (0-2-1, 1 points) on Sunday night at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

Kansas City Current Opens 2026 with Come-From-Behind 2-1 Victory over Utah Royals
March 14, 2026 - KANSAS CITY - The Kansas City Current (1-0-0, 3 pts., 1st place) won its third consecutive home opener at CPKC Stadium on Saturday afternoon, using a second-half comeback to best the Utah Royals (0-1-0, 0 pts., 14th place), 2-1. After Utah opened the scoring in the first half, midfielder Croix Bethune cappedher club debut with a goal in the 57th minute to level the contest. Twelve minutes later, midfielder Ally Sentnor put the Current ahead with a dazzling individual effort.

Kansas City Current Kicks off 2026 Season at CPKC Stadium against Utah Royals
March 13, 2026 - KANSAS CITY - The Kansas City Current will make its highly anticipated return to the pitch on Saturday, March 14, to kick off the 2026 National Women's Soccer League regular season. The Current will host the Utah Royals at CPKC Stadium at 3 p.m. CT for the home opener presented by CPKC. Fans in attendance will receive an exclusive CPKC-themed pin. Saturday will also mark the NWSL coaching debut for Chris Armas, who was named the Current's head coach in January.
