Pecos Austin Weirdos October 30, 2021 - The Pecos League Team in Austin will be known as the Austin Weirdos. The Weirdos will play in Parque Zaragosa as their home field. Colors for the Weirdos will be Loyalty Blue, Liberty White and Courage Red that will match the Texas Flag. The Weirdos will wear a navy hat with a tie dye bill. June 7, 2021 - BASEBALL Pecos League: The independent Pecos League started its 2021 season this week with 14 teams aligned in an eight-team Pacific Division, a four-team Mountain North Division and a four-team Mountain South Division. Each team is to play a 62-game season through the first week of August. April 5, 2021 - BASEBALL Pecos League: The independent Pecos League announced the six California-based teams that will comprise the Pacific Division for the 2021 season are the Bakersfield Train Robbers, Wasco Reserve, Monterey Amberjacks, Santa Cruz Seaweed, Martinez Sturgeon and San Rafael Pacifics. Santa Cruz and Martinez were added as expansion teams and San Rafael was added from the Pacific Association for the 2020 season, but the Pacific Division did not play in 2020 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19). March 15, 2021 - BASEBALL Pecos League: The city of Lancaster (CA), which recently lost the affiliated Lancaster JetHawks team that had been part of the high Class-A California League, apparently is not interested in hosting a proposed independent Pecos League team to be called the Lancaster Sound Breakers.
