Washington Spirit re-signs forward Estefanía Banini

December 4, 2018 - Boyds, Md. - The Washington Spirit has re-signed forward Estefanía Banini ahead of the 2019 NWSL season. Per league and team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. Banini is currently spending the 2018-2019 NWSL offseason on loan with Spanish club Levante Unión Deportiva, competing in Liga Femenina Iberdrola, the highest level of Spanish women's professional soccer. October 26, 2018 - Boyds, Md. - U.S. Women's National Team Coach Jill Ellis has named her 24-player roster for the upcoming European tour, which includes three Washington Spirit players: midfielder Rose Lavelle, midfielder Andi Sullivan and forward Mallory Pugh. Washington Spirit Defender Taylor Smith Joins Newcastle Jets FC for NWSL Offseason

October 20, 2018 - Boyds, Md. - Washington Spirit defender Taylor Smith has joined Newcastle Jets FC of the Australian W-League for the duration of the 2018 NWSL offseason. Smith has signed a one-season contract with Newcastle, and will compete in the W-League season which run from October 2018 through early February 2019. Smith will return to the Spirit after the offseason.
