Washington Spirit Hosting Orlando Pride on Saturday in NWSL Game of the Week

June 22, 2018 - Boyds, MD - The Washington Spirit closes out a two-game home stand Saturday night as the Orlando Pride visits the Maryland SoccerPlex. Kickoff for the NWSL Game of the Week is set for 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPNEWS. Saturday's match will be the Spirit's second of three games against the Orlando Pride during the 2018 NWSL regular season. June 21, 2018 - Boyds, MD - The Washington Spirit has placed midfielder/forward Yanara Aedo on waivers. The Chilean international signed an NWSL contract with Washington in June 2017 after playing for Spanish club Valencia the previous year. Aedo was a member of the Washington Spirit Reserves from January 2015 to September 2016. She played a key role for the Spirit Reserves during the team's run to the 2015 USL W-League championship, scoring both goals in a 2-1 win over Colorado Pride in the title match. June 19, 2018 - CHICAGO - Washington Spirit goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe was voted the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) Player of the Week by the NWSL Media Association for Week 11 and 12 of the 2018 NWSL season. Washington Spirit Waives Midfielder Morgan Proffitt

June 19, 2018 - BOYDS, MD - The Washington Spirit has waived midfielder Morgan Proffitt. In her second NWSL season, Proffitt has played in four games, including two starts, compiling 197 minutes of playing time. Proffitt was initially claimed off waivers by the Spirit in August 2017 and made three appearances for the club as a rookie, totalling 255 minutes.
