Howlers Sweep Carolina League Weekly Awards

April 27, 2026 - The Hill City Howlers swept the Carolina League Weekly Awards behind outstanding performances from Anthony Martinez and Harrison Bodendorf. This was the first time any member of the Howlers has won a weekly award this season. In addition, they are the only members of the Cleveland Guardians organization to win awards this week. Woodpeckers Grab First Six-Game Home Sweep in Franchise History

April 27, 2026 - Fayetteville, NC - The Fayetteville Woodpeckers (9-12) punctuated a perfect week at home on Sunday, taking two from the Myrtle Beach Pelicans (9-12) and sweeping the six-game home series at Segra Stadium. It marked the first ever six-game sweep at home in franchise history, and Fayetteville's first six-game series sweep since May of 2022 on the road at Kannapolis. April 26, 2026 - COLUMBIA, SC: The GreenJackets bounced back from a 6-2 loss in game one of today's doubleheader to snag a 4-0 win and split both the day and the series against the Columbia Fireflies. In both games of the day, the losing team was held to just one hit, and it was Augusta's offense that was quashed to start the afternoon. Howlers Complete Seven-Run Comeback, Walk-Off Crawdads

April 26, 2026 - In unprecedented fashion, the Hill City Howlers walked off the Hickory Crawdads on Sunday afternoon, winning 9-8 in 11 innings. Only the first run of the game for the Howlers was attributed to a hit. The rest of the runs scored in the comeback victory came from walks, hit-batters, wild pitches, and a sacrifice fly.
