July 19, 2018 - ROME, GA - The RiverDogs' road trip opener against the Rome Braves was postponed on Thursday evening due to heavy rain at State Mutual Stadium. The game will be made up as part of a Friday night double-header starting at 5 p.m., both 7-inning contests. Infielder Ricky Surum Joins RiverDogs

July 19, 2018 - ROME, GA - The New York Yankees have announced the addition of infielder Ricky Surum to the Charleston RiverDogs roster, taking the vacated roster spot of outfielder Matt McPhearson, who was placed on the seven-day disabled list on Wednesday, retroactive to July 16. Surum, New York's 16th round pick in 2017, was reassigned from the Yankees' High-A club on Thursday. Charleston Baseball Hall of Fame Announces Inductees for Class of 2018

July 19, 2018 - CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Charleston Baseball Hall of Fame has announced the inductees for the Class of 2018, naming umpire Lewis Elmore "Lukey" Dudley, former Citadel Baseball star and Mt Pleasant Mayor Dick Jones, and High School Baseball Coach Jerry Stoots to the 16th annual Hall of Fame class. Jones and Stoots were selected by fan voting while Dudley was chosen by the Charleston Baseball Hall of Fame Committee.
