The Black Bears lost their fourth straight home game, leaving them winless at home during the 2019-20 season. The first period was a slow start for both teams. October 11, 2019 - ODENTON, MD - The Johnstown Tomahawks extended its winning streak against the Maryland Black Bears to twelve Friday night with a 5-1 win. Two former Black Bears now Tomahawks, defenseman Quinn Warmuth, and goalie David Tomeo played key roles in the Johnstown win. October 3, 2019 - ODENTON, MD - Today, the Maryland Black Bears traded Forward Jonathan Young to the Amarillo Bulls for Forward Filip Jakobsson. Young was one of the original Black Bears on the roster from their Inaugural Season. He had 10 goals and 26 assists over the 2018-29 campaign. The Merrimack College commit has experience playing at the USHL and NAHL Junior Hockey levels. Filip Jakobsson was born on April 11th, 1999 and is from Stockholm, Sweden.
