West Virginia Wins Series Finale against Trenton in Game Shortened by Air Quality Concerns

July 16, 2026 - TRENTON, N.J. - The West Virginia Black Bears defeated the Trenton Thunder, 6-1, in the series finale Thursday night at Trenton Thunder Ballpark before the game was called after five innings due to poor air quality. West Virginia jumped out to an early six-run lead behind an explosive offensive start while pitcher Drew Townson held the Thunder to just one run. July 16, 2026 - NILES, OH - Tonight's game between Mahoning Valley Scrappers and the Aberdeen Ironbirds has been cancelled out of an abundance of caution due to the air quality index (AQI). Williamsport and State College Canceled on Thursday

July 16, 2026 - Due to the air quality concerns caused by the Canadian Wildfires, Thursday night's series finale between the Williamsport Crosscutters and the State College Spikes has been canceled. Per MLB Draft League rules, tonight's game is officially a canceled game and will not be rescheduled.
