September 18, 2026 - The MLB Draft League announced that Williamsport's James McCoy was named Most Valuable Player of the 2026 second half. McCoy had a historic season, setting the all-time single half record with 49 RBI, the highest OPS and slugging percentage across all second-halves in league history with a 1.099 and .640 respectively. Cutters Carve the Crown in 2026

September 2, 2026 - With their 5-3 win over Aberdeen, the Williamsport Crosscutters claimed the 2026 MLB Draft League Championship, the club's second league title in three years. Bobby Helt gave the Crosscutters four innings of one-run ball, striking out six, in the start. Josh Willits followed with 3.2 innings of relief, allowing two runs, one unearned as he earned the win. Cutters Fall in Regular Season Finale to Spikes; Still Capture 2nd Half Title

September 1, 2026 - The Williamsport Crosscutters suffered an 8-4 defeat at the hands of the State College Spikes in their regular season finale on Tuesday but thanks to Trenton's 12-4 victory over the Aberdeen IronBirds, the Crosscutters clinched the MLB Draft League 2nd Half Championship. Stanfield Sets Record in Cutters Loss to Spikes

August 31, 2026 - Chris Stanfield set the MLB Draft League record with his 53rd run scored despite the Cutters loss, 5-2, to the State College Spikes on Monday night at Journey Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field. Chris Stanfield finished the night 2-for-3 with his second triple of the year. Stanfield scored the record-breaking run in the bottom of the 7th inning.
