NHL Preseason Action Returns to GIANT Center on September 21
June 22, 2026 - (Hershey, PA) - The Hershey Bears and the club's National Hockey League affiliate, the Washington Capitals, are proud to announce that NHL preseason action is returning to Hershey. For the second straight season, the Capitals will take the ice in Chocolatetown to battle the Philadelphia Flyers, with this year's contest taking place at GIANT Center on Monday, September 21 at 7 p.m.

Bears Re-Sign Jalen Luypen for 2026-27 Season
June 12, 2026 - (Hershey, PA) - The Hershey Bears announced today that the club has re-signed forward Jalen Luypen to a one-year American Hockey League contract for the 2026-27 season. The announcement was made by Hershey vice president of hockey operations Bryan Helmer.

June 11, 2026 - (Hershey, PA) - The Hershey Bears announced today that the club has re-signed forward Dalton Smith to a one-year American Hockey League contract for the 2026-27 season. The announcement was made by Hershey vice president of hockey operations Bryan Helmer.

Ilya Protas Named to 2025-26 AHL Top Prospects Team
June 10, 2026 - (Hershey, PA) - The American Hockey League announced today that Hershey Bears forward Ilya Protas has been named to the 2025-26 AHL Top Prospects Team, determined by the league's hockey operations department in conjunction with AHL general managers as the three forwards, two defensemen, and one goaltender projected to be the best future NHL players. Protas becomes the first Hershey Bear to earn this honor since the league instituted the AHL Top Prospects Team for the 2022-23 campaign.
