Zac Funk Re-Assigned to Hershey

December 15, 2025 - (Hershey, PA - The Washington Capitals, the National Hockey League affiliate of the Hershey Bears, announced today that they have re-assigned forward Zac Funk to Hershey from the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays. The announcement was made by Washington senior vice president and general manager Chris Patrick. Funk, 22, skated in eight games for the Stingrays this season, logging 10 points (5g, 5a). Leon Muggli Re-Assigned to Team Switzerland for World Junior Championship

December 15, 2025 - (Hershey, PA) - The Washington Capitals, the National Hockey League affiliate of the Hershey Bears, have re-assigned defenseman Leon Muggli to Team Switzerland ahead of the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship. Muggli, 19, has appeared in two games with the Bears this season, recording one assist. December 14, 2025 - (Hershey, PA) - The Hershey Bears have released forward Jalen Luypen from his professional tryout agreement (PTO). The announcement was made by Hershey vice president of hockey operations Bryan Helmer.
